We have bought a car over here yesterday. It's a little Chevrolet Aveo hatch, which is really a rebadged Daewoo. The main reason for buying was it is made in Colombia and one of the most common cars so the parts are cheap and should be easy to sell when we leave. I am still getting used to driving on the other side of the road. Also there doesn't seem to be many road rules here (or maybe just no one follows them). The traffic just weaves in and out and at any time there may be 3 or 4 cars wide on a 2 marked lane road.
Also, I went on another bike ride yesterday. This time up to 'Parque Nacional del Café' (Colombian National Coffee Park). One thing I have noticed is that when riding on the road, the cars are extremely courteous, to the point of being dangerous. By all means give me a meter or so, but moving to the other side on double lines around a corner isn't necessary!

Great blog Buddy! I'll send it on to Lutz. He's freezing his balls off in Kazakhstan at the moment where it is max temp of -39. He'll be dead jealous of your mountain biking rides because he's finding it painful breathing the cold air and walking 500m from hotel to office. Great to see all is going well. Keep blogging!! Cheers Julia
